America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Early Departure

I have an award ticket and going home from Calgary, Canada on 8 July. I would like to return home on the 7th (with my wife and daughter). Do you think AW will let me go home early(if seats are available) and do you think they will charge me/and how much? I tried to get the award ticket home on the 7th but none were available. Thus wondering if they allow standby. Thanks.

If there is availability award tickets may be changed free of charge. I dont know how successful you will be standing by with a family of 4 but you can try

I had a similar issue arise earlier this month. Keep checking award availability online. I wanted different originating AND return flights. In both instances the desired flights opened up a few days prior to the date in question.
