I will be a Elite Platinum soon. Will that get me comps on other airlines - hopefully UA, AA and CO? Anyone try it?

Yeah you can get comp'd on AS if you like to, They are running a promo right now which will give you 10k miles too. check out http://www.alaskaair.com/www2/Promo/membergetmember.asp
