The Elite check in line has been moved at PHX. It is closer to the International Check-in. The agent told me that HP is planning to build a second luggage track that will send the bags to the inspection units and then on to the planes. When it is completed, the customer will no longer need to carry the bags to the TSA inspection.

TSA ADDING BAG BELT
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is adding a secondary bag belt behind our counters at Phoenix Terminal 4 to enable America West to accept our customers’ bags, alleviating the need for our customers to personally walk the bag to the TSA. During the dates June 3-5 and June 10-12, America West will be operating only 17 of our 34 positions at the check-in counter to allow the TSA to perform construction. To eliminate customer inconvenience during this period, Lufthansa has kindly agreed to allow us to use their ticket counters on these dates.

Just took SAN-PHX-EWR yesterday. Was upgraded on both segments as a PLAT...of course just drink service and chips on the short SAN-PHX leg. PHX-EWR meal service in F only!! I was on the 5:47PM out of PHX...we had choice of cold chicken or cold smoked salmon...small salad..and cinammon apple crunch for dessert....nothing great...or even hot. Please note: If you don't get the upgrade....no meal at all in the back!!!!

I flew PHX-DCA on Saturday. The breakfast was cold cereal and a little fruit.
