America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Posting miles from BA to FlightFund

I'm in a bit of a bind. Not sure whether to post BA miles to Executive Club or to HP's program. If I fly without an FF number in my record, how easy (and how long would it take) to credit the miles to HP later on? And a thought - if people do post flights retroactively, why can't you just doubledip? How do the airlines check? Or do they at all?

Just login to your HP account and click "Request missing miles". It usually takes no more than a few days, especially if you provide lots of info(conf#, ticket#, dates, etc.)
You will have to provide a confirmation number and/or ticket number as well as dates of travel.
I believe they will put your FF number in retroactively so that you can't double-dip.

Sorry, the above advice won't help you for British Airways flights.

For partner airline credit (Big Sky, British Airways, Hawaiian, Virgin Atlantic, Northwest Airlines), please mail or fax a legible copy of your Passenger ticket receipt and boarding passes, along with your FlightFund account number to the address or fax number noted below. Airline ticket numbers are required to process all partner airline requests.

Remember that if you are a America West elite and are looking for an upgrade to first class, if you put your BA number in, the computer will not upgrade you during your upgrade window. In fact, I don't think you will be able to use your upgrade privileges at all.
