America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Looks like BA wants me to go to travel agents.

I sent the following message to AskBA a day ago.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">
How do I know which fare class I am purchasing when reserving a flight online? There is currently no way to know if my flight will qualify for Tier points other than purchasing a F,J, or C ticket.
</font>

... and this is the reply I got.

<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">
The online booking system gives two clear options - Economy (lowest) which will give a discounted ticket ineligible for Points or an 'Economy Flexible' which is a full fare ticket eligible for Points, Club, and First will gain Points. You must have selected Economy lowest, which is the ineligible option.

Many World Traveller" tickets are eligible for earning Executive Club points, toward Silver and Gold tier status. The following World Traveller" booking classes earn tier points: B, H, K, & Y.
</font>

Well DUH! That in no way addressed my concern of knowing whether or not I purchased a qualifying H/K Economy ticket or a L/O/Q ticket. Why is it that only travel agents are privy to this info. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
