How long does it usually take for the elite match to process after faxing the request form?
America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Corporate Awards Elite MatchView Full Version : Corporate Awards Elite Match FlyerAl Sep 6, 02, 11:25 am How long does it usually take for the elite match to process after faxing the request form? Centurion Sep 6, 02, 1:53 pm If you read the form it says you be matched in three business days TransWorldOne Sep 6, 02, 3:18 pm In my case, Elite status was reflected within a couple hours of sending the FAX. dmfriedman Sep 15, 02, 8:43 pm Apologies if this is a stupid question... If I'm a FlightFund member, but my company is not a CorporateAwards member, is there any hope for a status match? I'm a UA Premier Exec who is planning to switch all travel to America West after my relocation next month to Las Vegas. byrnes99 Sep 15, 02, 10:29 pm Yes, you will qualify for the status match, even if you are not signed up with Corporate Awards. My Dad just switched from UA (1K) to HP Platinum and is not a Corporate Awards member. imkeww Sep 16, 02, 2:11 am How would you get the match if you're not an AWArds member? By just sending in the form without the AWArds account #? Inquiring minds want to know. AA PLT wanting to get comped on as many airlines as possible. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif motnot Sep 16, 02, 8:55 pm afang, is that you? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif dmfriedman Sep 19, 02, 11:47 am I'm actually curious on the answer to the question above. Do I just send in the Corp Awards form without a corp awards number? Or is there someplace I should call/fax/write separately? Centurion Sep 20, 02, 4:08 am I do not think it is required for the "match" but anyone can register for corp rewards # at the awa website. Ideally they are looking for the person who books the travel for your company to register. byrnes99 Sep 21, 02, 12:34 am You don't even need to fill out the form provided online. You can just send in a fax with a copy of your OAL elite card or statement which shows your status. Provide your FlightFund number and a short sentence note requesting the status match. dmfriedman Oct 1, 02, 5:35 pm Okay, one more question, this one related to timing. If I request a status match now, will it be valid only for the remainder of this year, or will it be good for next year as well? I don't want to waste a one-time match opportunity for three months of status instead of 12 or more... but at the same time, my world of flying HP begins next week. jan_az Oct 1, 02, 10:39 pm dm - It will end 2/03 HTH dmfriedman Oct 2, 02, 12:29 am I assume, then, if I wait until January to request it, it would be valid through 2/04? It's a bummer, because I'd really like the status so I can upgrade next week when I fly LAS-PHX-RDU and DFW-LAS, but since I'll be doing alot of HP flying next year, I'd just assume get the longest benefit I can. No problem earning the status next year for the following year, I just don't like to start over. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Thanks for the help! jan_az Oct 2, 02, 9:29 am You still have 3 months to reearn it http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Also - keep in mind that while you are PLT you get 125% bonus miles - not towards status but as miles. All things to consider as to when to ask for the comp imkeww Oct 3, 02, 4:26 pm Got the comp. Anyone know what the typical chances are of getting F from IND to the West Coast via either PHX or SFO? iwareboy Oct 5, 02, 4:50 am Hass, via SFO? You must be thinking about another airline.. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif I doubt SFO-PHX would be hard since most business travelers use UA.. most HP travelers will be bubba on his priceline.com ticket. PHX-IND will probably be easy, just try and get an airbus. They have 4 more first class seats. -Sean [This message has been edited by iwareboy (edited 10-05-2002).] motnot Oct 7, 02, 12:33 am Actually, HP sells very few pricline tickets any more. That was a big part of their revamped fare structure -- cut the walkup fares, and stop selling junk. Western Airlines Nov 6, 02, 1:56 pm I'm probably going to be flying HP to SMF next week. Does anyone know if a Gold status comp is still good through Feb 2003, or is it longer now? You must like flying to Detroit or Minneapolis a lot. NW would be the worst choice for a PHX resident. CO would be a better choice, but even they have a bad West coast presence. cab747 Nov 12, 02, 10:15 pm Originally posted by ByrdluvsAWACO: NW as a primary? Unless I go westbound, then I am out of luck on both airlines. But I think NW has been having better rates than CO lately. My last three tickets are NW over CO because gets pleasure out of being the highest priced airline. Weather delays are far more common in the north(Minn./Detroit) compared to CO's Houston hub. I agree on the price issue, but HP's non-stop service from PHX to many east coast destinations can't be matched by CO or NW. ------------------ God Bless America West and British Airways HP - Platinum/800k miles UA - Dirt/19k miles Soon to be Premier 1K TransWorldOne Nov 13, 02, 9:25 am I've suffered far more weather delays through Houson than I have on Northwest through Minneapolis/Saint Paul. cab747 Nov 13, 02, 10:52 am Originally posted by ByrdluvsAWACO: I agree on the price issue, but HP's non-stop service from PHX to many east coast destinations can't be matched by CO or NW. Can't be matched by convenience, correct. I used to use HP with my CO benefits, but no longer use HP since the CO partnership ended. But, for various markets I have flown from PHX eastbound, HP NEVER comes up as the cheapest airline. This includes to NY (JFK/EWR), FL (FLL/MIA), TX (SAT/AUS), etc. For personal travel, price is primary.
