I had a connecting flight yesterday (10/23) in Phoenix. When I got to my gate with only 10 min. to spare I realized the FA on the first flight had not returned my coat, which she isnisted onhanging up when I was seated on the first flight.

I asked the GA at the second gate if there was any way to retrieve it and he said that with the short time until the flight left and the distance from the first gate he would have the jacket mailed to me. I gave him my address and a description of the jacket, then boarded the flight.

I was pleasently surprised when just before they closed the door a different GA dashed on te plane and handed me my jacket. She said she was sorry the FA had forgotten to return it to me on the first flight. I sat there stunned and she explained that they had one of their electric carts bring the jacket to the plane.

I was so stunned that I thanked her but did not get her name. This is the kind of service that will ensure that I use America West Again in th efuture.

Honestly, I'm really an optimist, but...

Sad thing is, that FA is in the minority at HP...betcha if it happens again you don't get the same service...consistency is definitely not HP's strength...you either get really really good service, or horrid, lousy service.

Ive never really had bad service from HP. US airways/United is another story.
