This ran July 5th in the Las Vegas Review Journal. It's a graphic detailing Planet Hollywood's proposal for the Aladdin.

Planet Hollywood's bid has been approved. They're just waiting for the NGC (Nevada Gaming Commission) or whatever to approve the casino license for the new owners.

I saw this posted on the Marriott thread in Miles, so I'm cross posting here:

"Marriott will sell remaining Polo Towers and then develop Chateau.
Property will be folded into MVCI

So is this going to be a Starwood or a Marriott managed hotel? The article seems to indicate *wood, though from the posts here, it is not clear.

This is from march but I assume its still accurate. http://www.reviewjournal.com/lvrj_home/2003/Mar-21-Fri-2003/business/20937023.html

"Aladdin bankers are close to choosing a bid by Planet Hollywood and Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide to buy the bankrupt billion-dollar resort, informed sources said. "

This says it will be Planet Hollywood by Sheraton.

Las Vegas Advisor writes in the August issue that the deal has been done with Sheraton. They'l invest 90M$ over the next year in renovations.

Geez, I hope $90M is enough. The Alladin is just awful. The Desert Passage mall is really nice, but I wouldn't even slap the Four Points name on the Alladin itself....

I really like the Aladdin. The London Club casino is nice, the rooms are comfortable (with great bathrooms), and the restaurants are above average.
