Please rank your favorite strip clubs in Vegas, and indicate if you are male or female. My boss is heading out to Vegas in two weeks and is into that scene (not that I am not, I've just never been to any in Vegas).

1)Cheetahs
2)OG
3) ???

Avoid Sapphire and Jaguars - the new 'Mega' clubs. Drinks are outrageously priced and things aren't as ...ummm...Let's just say you get better mileage at the 2 listed above.

It really depends what you are looking for. Club Paradise is the classiest and that's where I take my friends who insist on that type of entertainment. I prefer the WNBA myself...

Sapphire's
Olympic Garden
Cheetah's
Crazy Horse Too

Can't disagree more about the mileage at Sapphire's on the floor. In the VIP room, I would conceed that point. The overall experience is first-rate IMHO.

What is the standard for tipping in these establishments???

There's no need to tip the dancers as you're dealing with owner/operators http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif There is a lot of "greasing" in most of the high end clubs though. On a busy night, slipping the bouncer a $20 or $50 will get you immediate access to a table.

As far as the girls go:

$1 tucked if you're sitting in the front row watching the pole dance.

Lap dances can run anywhere from $20-30 depending on the establishment and how busy it is. If you like the girl, 3 for $100 is customary on a busy night in a high end club.

If you want the VIP experience, expect to pay $200 per girl for 1/2 hour of her time. You'll likely have to buy her some drinks and you'll be in a semi secluded area. You need to make sure that your dancer isn't lazy, as there should be 7-8 songs in that half hour time. A non-lazy dancer should give you at least 6 dances spaced out over that half hour. If she just wants to sit and talk, you're better off on the main floor as time is money in VIP.

"Ultra VIP" usually runs the cost of a purchased bottle of booze or champagne (about $200-250) plus the $200 per 1/2 hour for the girl as outlined above. That will get you a totally private room, and your dancer will likely do everything she can do to you with your clothes on. Depending on the day and how busy the club is, you can negotiate the price of the bottle with the host/bouncer. Slipping the bouncer a tip can add time to the clock. If you go this route you'll leave a lot poorer and a lot wiser. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif

Remember to bring enough cash with you. ATMs in the clubs have access fees in the $6-8 range and if you buy "club money" with a credit card to pay the dancers the club adds a minimum 10% fee for the privilege.

Great information. Now if you would just describe what the people receiving the wads of cash think about their customers. Probably the only business in this country where the customer is held in contempt by all who work at the establishment. Even casinos treat their customers better than strip joints.

Agreed. The strip clubs and airlines are birds of a feather. http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif

Tipping the manager and/or the bouncer might not make them think better of you, but they certainly will not 'bite the hand that feeds them'.

Are the clubs mentioned above still the best or are there some new better ones since '03?

You might want to refer to the LVA list. (http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/referenceguide-nightspots.cfm?SortBy=Name&type=Gentlemen's%20Club/Topless)

I won't give any personal insight; though, strip clubs tend to be more expensive than playing Baccarat, YMMV. ;)
