Just spent a week at the Tuscany. $69/nightly for a spacious room.
Good location, friendly staff, great for business travel. Actual rooms are much better than the internet pictures!

This place looks quite nice for the price. Where is it located exactly? I couldn't find a street address on the wesite, only a vague comment that they were only a few blocks from the Strip. Any idea how far "a few blocks" really is? Is that walking distance to the strip, and which part of the strip is it near?

Tuscany Hotel and Casino
255 East Flamingo Rd
Las Vegas, Nevada 89109

That's on Flamingo near the c/o Koval. I'd estimate about 10 minute walk to LV Blvd.

Has the casino ever opened at the Tuscany?

I believe they opened (the hotel) about a year ago and the casino was supposed to open in December 2002 but it was pushed back a time or two?

A quick call to the hotel told me the Casino is open and in full operation 24/7!

I have been to the Tuscanys casino. It is a small one, with alot of penny and nickel slots. It also has quarter and dollar slots, but the penny and nickel are the most prevelant. They have a few table games as well.

I had lunch at the restaurant. It was mediocre. They had a buffet that was small, but the items I selected were good.

It was clean. Since it was new, it was not very smoky.

I have not seen the rooms, so I can not speak as to whether they are nice or not.

The location is good. It is close to the strip, yet not right on the strip. It is very close to some really nice restaurants.
