So, I'm in the Aladdin for the first time this Tuesday night. Business trip, not leisure. Regular room, maybe $70. Any pointers for an upgrade (casino spending isn't going to do it in my case)? Any airport check-in? Spa access? And, most importantly, any point/mile earning opportunities?

Thanks!

Aladdin is a bankrupt independent hotel soon to be bought out, most likely by a partnership between Starwood and Planet Hollywood. There is no airport checkin and no point/mile opportunities that I know of.

Ask the desk clerk if it would be possible to upgrade to a Strip Suite with a view of the Bellagio fountains. This room has one of the best views in town. The clerk will either give you the upgrade, quote you a price for the upgrade, or tell you there aren't any available. At this point a casually brandished $20 might score you the upgrade.

Elements steakhouse is quite good, or walk next door to Paris and try Artistes steakhouse or the very pricey Eiffel Tower.
