Looks like I'll be flying on the wannabe jets for a few work trips from PHX - FAT. Anyone know what the best seats on the CRJ's are? I've never been on one before.

I'm booked in 1F right now.

Yeah - I've heard their cramped. Can't be any worse than the Embraier jets between EWR and CMH though. Not an easy fit at 6'3" and 235!

Just stay away from the last row across from the lavatory...your so close you would get the golden shower if not for the door.

On both CRJ's and ERJ's, I always go for the non-bulkhead aisle seat. CRJ's are 2-2 configuration and ERJ's are 1-2 configuration, typically.

I recommend either "B" or "C" on CRJ and "B" on ERJ.

The non-bulkhead aisle provides the most legroom and most under seat space.

Note that the overhead bins are very narrow top to bottom and my brief case will not fit.

Note also that window seats are cramped because the curve of the fuselage is more pronounced on the smaller plane.

My personal preference is the exit row 8B&C. Good underseat storage & leg room. Overhead space is lousy everywhere! Check planeside for p/u there on arrival.

So how has FAT been treating you?

Was out there earlier this month, will be back next.

They've even built a new terminal add-on for jets.. only the architects screwed up and the glass won't fit the structure. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

I always go for the first non-bulkhead aisle on the RJs. I don't like the bulkhead, but I want off of the sardine can as quick as possible!

I'm done with FAT. We got more resources on the project and I get to stay home for the rest of the year!

I would ususally go with the aisle bulkhead or row 8 on the FAT trips. You're all correct though - every seat in the closterphoba-jet does suck! We won't even talk about the contortionist act I would have to do in order to pee standing up in the bathroom on those things!

I hear they're changing the Monday morning flight to the bigger RJ next week. Typical bad timing on my part. I'm just glad to be able to stay at home for a few months. Next time I get on an airplane, it will actually be for pleasure and not business.

The bathrooms are not designed to for men to urinate standing up. If you read the signage you would see a universal sit down while you pee sign. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif I still hate being anywhere near the bathroom because all men stand including me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
