Do all of the major hotels have parking garages? Is it free? I'm staying at Treasure Island and I will have a car in Vegas. Will I have a problem parking?

Hi,

All the major hotels will have a variety of parking;

(1) Self Parking -free -this can involve a long walk from your room to the car park ( usually way at the back of the hotel)

(2) Valet Parking- on arrival at the hotel go up to the valet parking ( front of the hotel) and wait by your car until the valet comes- he will give you a slip -do not lose this http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/biggrin.gif)
Then when leaving the hotel go to the valet pick up point/desk , hand the slip over and a few minutes later your car will come with the a/c turned up if necessary.
( We gave the valets $2 when we picked the car up)
Occasionally the Valet sign said full at our hotel( M Bay) but there was no problem as we were guests.
There may be longer queues at weekend's or after a major show finishes.

The major problem is likely to be the traffic on the strip!!

No problem at all parking. We do it all the time. In my experience, best parking (closest) for the south end:
NYNY-walk to MGM and others or Mandalay Bay
and walk. I prefer NYNY.
Mid strip- Bellagio, and walk across to Paris, Alladin, Caesars. Caesars is very close parking to casino, but long walk to other casinos.

Venetian-enter from Koval (behind) and miss all the traffic.

Since you're driving around, try to see Sam's Town, the Station Casinos, and the Fiestas, Orleans and Palms, and many others off strip.
