Can't seem to find anything less than $80 (weekend) and $40 (weekday) rate. Did anyone ever find a cheaper rate than this?

A random search in June showed $33/night weekday, $75/night weekend... [This message has been edited by skofarrell (edited 05-08-2003).] adamak May 9, 03, 5:34 pm I've been reading lots of good reviews about Orleans. For the first part of my vacation, I want to save money (weekend). Orleans seem to have good restaurants, and stuff to do other than gambling. That's why. QuietLion May 10, 03, 2:15 am For what it is, it is a decent hotel although Coast has recently taken out all their loosest video poker. Realize that it's not in walking distance of anything, though. QL vandykes44 May 10, 03, 2:33 pm My husband is staying at the Orleans next week on a $109 Mardi Grah (sp) package that includes tax, and comes with 2 breakfast buffets, 2 dinner buffets and lodging for 2 people for 2 nights. You also receive a fun book that has many coupons for free drinks, free use of their spa, etc. The rooms are quite large with a nice sitting area. Half of the rooms are brand new, but the new rooms don't have a view of the strip, which is great at night. When we stayed there in April, on several back-to-back Mardi Grah packages, we enjoyed their early bird breakfast specials for .99 which included eggs, meat, hash browns and toast. We're from Michigan, so getting to breakfast by 7 am (really 10 am for us) was very easy. There is a 60 lane bowling alley, 12 screen movie theatre and much more. Its a huge complex and they have shuttles that constantly run back and forth to the strip. We usually stay at the Orleans because its very nice and the price is always right. BCMike May 10, 03, 3:34 pm Any specific days your looking for? Usually their website will have the best rates though. adamak May 11, 03, 9:06 am We're going June 7 for 3 nites (1 Sat), and from the hotel website, total $215. I dont' see any Mardi Gras or any other package. QuietLion May 11, 03, 9:41 am Expedia has it for $197 before tax for those nights. QL pitflyer May 13, 03, 4:30 pm Once you stay there you will get a lot of offers in the mail, and unlike a lot of other casino offers they saw non-transferrable and it requires the letter with your name on it. So while I've heard of a few good deals at the Orleans, all were mailed to me and state they require the letter. The last letter I got gave me two free nights and offered $30/night (I think) for a wide range of time and reasonable weekend rates. The two places I've gotten cheap Orleans room otherwise: 1) their website -- but usually not too far in advance 2) americawest vacations -- I got it for $30 a night through here, weekdays. However, I would never use them again since they screwed up my reservation and booked my name backwards (even though I confirmed I booked it right). What was funny is the front desk agent said he used to work for America West. I told him people joke it's America Worst and he said 'that's right, they are terrible, this type of problem happens all the time'. So your mileage may vary... good luck. vandykes44 May 16, 03, 6:59 pm Call the Orleans and ask for the Mardi Grah package. Otherwise, tell them that you'd like the rate advertized in the LA times, that's often 39 per night. |
