Las Vegas - Any Recent LAS 'Long Line' Experiences? I have a 8:30am flight on April 20th

I have read other posts most recently from March and was wondering if LAS has had any improvment on the reputed long lines for check in or security I am flying on AA and am a PLT. I am not sure what concourse AA flys out of but it seemed the UA folks felt security lines were indordinately long.
What time should I really be there for a sunday morning...
Thanks in advance.

Since it's a Sunday, I would arrive 90 minutes before the flight, assuming you can use the First Class/elite checkin. If not, then two hours.

I flew out of LAS this AM on NWA. Longest security line I have ever seen!! People were pretty freaked out about it and sounded like some would be missing their flights. I thought it would of taken forever but it took 35 minutes to get through the line as it moved pretty fast considering the number of people.
I asked if there was a First Class security check line and was told no. I came close to missing my flight - next time I'll be there at least 90 mins early.

Flew out of LAS on flight 1670, Sunday 4/13. Got to the airport around 5:15 and whizzed through security. There was NO line when my friend and I got to security. As you can imagine, I was extremely shocked!

Terminal D wait time was about 2 minutes at 6:30 this morning. (But be warned that poker chips look "suspicious" on the x-ray, and we were delayed a few more minutes while our bag was searched.)

Terminal D security Tuesday morning April 8 line was less than 5 minutes long.
Check-in for AA was longer than that.

Not that it helps the original poster, but A/B security at LAS was <5 minutes on Tuesday, 4/22 at 10:45am.

Check-in: 4/27 (Sunday) at 8:00am. UA Premier/FC line had no wait. Coach looked Disney Space Mountain like, with a lot of people. I'd estimate 30-45 minutes.
Security: A/B Concourse had no wait. C/D was busy, with the "D" line taking about 25 min from ID check to the tram.

Does terminal D security have any "express" lines for no luggage carry-ons, or is everyone herded together? We will be returning 9AM on Memorial Day, and I know it will be crowded. Thanks!

The only ways to bypass security in Las Vegas are to be an employee or to have a wheelchair or a stroller.

I left through D on Monday. Going through security at about 2pm the wait was about 10 minutes in spite of the people holding up the line because they were worried about the film in their cameras http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/rolleyes.gif

I live in Vegas and fly out each sunday afternoon. I have not seen a line of more than 5 minutes since Feb 2003...
