America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Sept. 11 special fare

Just an F.Y.I. I just recently booked a flight from Las Vegas to L.A. trip departing on 9/11 and returning 9/21. I expected to pay 180.00 round trip for 2 people but when I booked on line at America West, fare came out to $105.00 for 2. I checked other airlines and it showed the lowest fare is $90 wiht tax from UA. HP showed $38 per person roundtrip without taxes. When I booked it and looked at the fare codes, it did not charge me anything for the outbound on 9/11 but charge me $38 for the return. Maybe AWA is runnning a special on 9/11. Has anyone come across this? Thanks

Actually, the lowest fare on that route is $19 each way, started by JetBlue and matched by Southwest and then HP.

So it's not a special 9/11 fare.
