Complaints filed with the FCC, (complaints as either the carrier being ported from or to by a consumer):

AT&T Wireless: 1,221
Sprint PCS: 518
Verizon Wireless: 406
Cingular Wireless :359
T-Mobile: 256
Nextel Communications: 154

Nice to know ATT was still the brunt of complaints. Here is a response to the FCC's letter of notice to ATT:

The original FCC letter:

Interesting comments in the ATT response that they see problems from their clearinhouse vendor Nightfire as opposed to TSI which nearly every other network operator used.

Is there a relationship between their respective market share or number of subscribers ? It would be obvious that Nextel is the smallest of the carriers no ?

It would sort of be interesting to see subscriber data too to see complaints per million customers.

But I was one of folks who filed a complaint against ATT. 8 freakin' days!

I was thinking the same thing ... off the top of my head, Verizon is the #1 carrier, so they're doing really well and AT&T is #3 or #4 I think, so they're doing really poorly. I think Nextel is also doing pretty good, while they are smaller, that's a pretty small over all number I'd say.

Alot of ATTWS's problems seem to be their choice of a portability clearinghouse NO OTHER carriers were using.
