Anyone used these headphones? I haven't seen many reviews of these online and the Philips site only has one pdf document in french. Even Amazon doesn't have any user comments on it.

I'm looking to buy a pair of closed NC headphones for myself next week and its come down to this one at $55 and the Sony NC20 at two and a half times that price. I would appreciate any comments from people who have used both. Thanks!

Edit: So I learn one new thing about FT today...You can't edit a topic name http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif

I tested out the Bose II (new ones from a friend) and had a Sony which broke. The Sony was in the shop for repairs and they gave me the Phillips/Magnavox for a trip I was taking. The Phiilips were better then the Sony and/or Bose.

It did drown out the airport noise and I could also hear/see my AV320 movie just great.

I need to say that the Phillips does allow more converstaional noise to seep in then the Bose but is IMHO a better value.

I tried out a friend's Bose QC2 as well and they were fantastic, but I just don't see myself shelling out $300 for them if I can get a respectable performer in the Philips at $55. I just got myself an iPod and a digicam in the last month so I'm a bit light in the wallet.

If only my dad had taken the hint that I wanted the Bose for a Christmas present http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/frown.gif
