I wonder if there are new versions of this sucker out yet. The first batches had a couple of software issues. Im thinking of getting my hands on one of these (unlocked) and use it in Argentina, we are expanding our GSM networks here and it may be a time to switch providers.
Thanks.

The P800 has been out for almost a year now, current software versions are pretty stable BUT, the P810 or P900 (real name not known yet) is on it's way:

It looks MUCH nicer than the P800 http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/biggrin.gif

OK, the link works now. Scotty, are there any details on how the finish on the new phone will be? I hope its not the same plastic like finish on the old P800...

Gaucho, does Telecom Personal have pre-paid or pay as you go GSM service there yet? Any other prepaid SIM cards down there?

Not yet. I understand that the carriers that offer GSM here are still working on a pay as you go system. I think that the first carrier to offer this system will be CTI-Movil.

I looked everywhere today, and short of a contract, this is still a no-go. Thanks for the input however.
Party tonight in Buenos Aires... without cheap connectivity.
