UALOneKPlus Sep 23, 03, 12:30 pm LAS VEGAS, NV -- September 1, 2003 -- MediaLive International, Inc., the world's leading producer of information technology events, conferences, publications and a variety of media services, has reached an agreement with Computer Outlook Radio Talk Show to broadcast live from COMDEX Las Vegas 2003 taking place November 16-20, 2003 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. www.comdex.com (http://www.comdex.com) Let's go win some money baby!! Gaucho100K Sep 23, 03, 3:11 pm Nice.... http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/thumbsup.gif NickP 1K Sep 26, 03, 1:18 am Computex in Taiwan is also another large show. However ALOT of Spring product launches now tie in with the LARGEST IT show in the World, CeBit in Hannover. http://www.cebit.de/ Typicall though you will find vendors tying launches to meet back to school requirements for retailers (e.g. soft launch late late spring, ship in latter part of summer) ScottC Sep 26, 03, 7:59 am I agree with Nick, CeBit is my favourite trade show and always a good reason to take 3 or 4 days off to visit all the halls http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/biggrin.gif I just hope that next year I'll have a Segway to ride around on as it's usually hell for your feet there http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/smile.gif Beckles Oct 8, 03, 1:30 pm Originally posted by Gaucho100K: Im wondering if IBM will unveil a new ThinkPad model over the still very new T40... perhaps a T50 is out there in the near future...? IBM just released the T41 and R50 this week. The main improvement in these models over previous models is an active disk protection system that detects if the unit is dropped and will park the HD head in 200-300 milliseconds to protect the data. Some models also include a 7200 RPM hard drive (the 60 GB HD models). I'll be ordering a T41 as soon as someone besides IBM makes them available (we've had bad luck on delivery times direct from IBM). |
