Intel Sees New Laptops Running for a Whole Day
Intel Corp., the world's largest semiconductor maker, expects that in just a few years laptops will run for a full day on a single battery charge, thanks to improvements to its new Centrino chip.

I was going to say the same, but I didn't want to come across as JUST bashing Intel lately.
If any Intel team can pull it off it will be the team that did the from the ground up Centrino core.
However anyone seen the newest Transmeta Efficeon processor. So far from what we've seen it IS outperforming the Intel Centrino on battery life and overall system performance. (contrast this with Crusoe which overcommited to everything and fell short)

and here I thought this was an announcement that they were talking about unix/linux over Windows.
