Travel Technology - Need travel adapter confirmation (US - Aus/NZ)

I am off to Australia and NZ for an extended trip. At this point I am only planning to bring 2 things that require electrical charge - my (3rd gen) Ipod and my canon s200 digital camera. My canon battery charger (model CB-2LS) and Ipod charger both state on the devices that they handle input from 100V-240V. Therefore, am I safe to assume that I can just get a converter (and not an additional voltage adapter) and be good to go? Apple, of course, wants me to spend $40 extra for their world travel kit -- one of their employees confirmed it was unnecessary. Of course, another said that "computers need special adapters." Can anyone confirm if I just need a regular adapter?

Been there four times this year. Have computers, cell phones, shavers, all the necessaries. As long as they are dual voltage, as you say, all you need is the plug adapter. You can get them at Frye's for 2 bucks, at any store that sells travel stuff for a little more, Magellans, or at the aiport when you arrive. The plugs are like US, but are at an angle like this:

and might have a ground, but you shouldn't need that. Both OZ and NZ are the same.

Hotels also have them, call housekeeping or the concierge.

I would suggest you just get the simple kind, do not get the super-combo swiss army knife plug adapter. I had problems with those.

If your stuff is 240 on the label, all you need is the adapter.
