Travel Technology - Palm Hotsync wants to access the internet

Whenever I hotsync my Palm, ZoneAlarm tells me that HotSync Manager wants to access the internet.
Why would that be? I always deny permission and the hotsync works fine.
I'm suspicious that Palm is trying to get info sent to them.

I presume it's a conduit that wants to update something. Do you have Avantgo installed? Or worldmate? You might want to check your conduits for third-party applications.

Has it always been this way, or was it working normally previously? Have you added any software to the Palm recently? In particular, any unusual freeware or shareware?

My sync goes to the web for Avantgo and United. I wouldn't know of any reason for Zone Alarm to do so but I don't use Zone Alarm.

Aha (maybe). I do have the UA timetable installed on the Palm. Does it try to automatically update itself?
