America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Is Nancy Richards a real person?

Just curious. I have tried to SPEAK with her many times now. I am told "oh, she never takes phone calls, only faxes."
Okay, can SHE call ME? "No, she doesn't talk on the phone."
Is she real? Has anyone ever talked to her? Can anyone provide me with her direct line number?

All I know is that based on info I received in this forum I faxed over my elite status request to Nancy Richards and was comped within 48 hrs. Maybe you should fax her your question.

Perhaps, speaking is not one of her job requirements. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
She still seems to get the job done, and excels at it!

Many customer service operations use the technique of the phantom CSR. It allows customers to contact "a name" and then the company's CSR's split up the work as it comes in. (No offense to Nancy if she does exist.) http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I agree that the faxes are handled efficiently, and very fast. I just have one particular problem I'd actually like to speak to someone about, and, the front line agents say "oh, you would have to talk to Nancy Richards about that" and tell me to fax her. No big deal, I can certainly pout my request in writing, but faxing does not allow for a two way dialouge like a verbal conversation and I was just hoping to speak with a human being.
Thanks for the replies, though.

Perhaps if you posted the subject matter you'd like to discuss, someone could post a suggested person for you to contact.

I just sent in my Silver request today (2-18) and I am hoping I will be updated soon.
Billy Bandit-

FlyBDL, jan_az is right on. I am AA Gold and that requires 25,000 miles (the same as America West silver).
Unforunately, I wasn't able to get any upgrades on my trip back but thats ok. Even more unfortunate is that half of my flight from PHX to SNA was made up of those travelling with small children, first class, and elites and that I was refused to board among this group because I did not have my Silver card with me (because I just got comped a few days ago). Anyhow, it would be nice if the boarding pass had elite status printed on it like AA does. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I know that on United, when your status changes you have to ask them to update your record so it shows your new status -- don't know if the same is true with HP but it doesn't hurt to ask at the ticket counter.

When you check in, have them stamp your BP with the red "Flight Fund Elite" stamp. That will allow you to pre-board without your card.

I flew my first HP flight today as part of their "status match" an nowhere on the Boarding Pass does it indicate that I am Platinum, or anything special for that matter.
Also, I was in an old 737 in FC -- row 2B. There is less room in Row 2 FC on HP than in E+ (let along FC) on United.
