America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - BWI-LAS?

If anyone has done this service recently, I'd love some input.

How is the equipment? Any service in First Class? Ability to upgrade in advance? On time performance? Overall experience?

We are considering HP for BWI-LAS flights over the next 6 months.

the morning flight ~8am has "beverage service only" even in First Class.

There is no food service on any LAS flights, from what I can tell. HP cut all food after 9/11 and has been putting it back on some PHX routes every so often -- already most East Coast and Midwest markets. I'd guess LAS-to-East Coast will be next, but you never know.

Elites can upgrade in advance, but I can't comment on how often they get them.

As for on-time performance, HP was No. 1 among U.S. airlines in December, and unofficially in January -- in the upper 80s, in terms of percentage. February's on-time percentage is over 88% so far, probably still No. 1.

HP is not the same airline it used to be.
