America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - Best seat on 320 in F...

I wanted to ask the HP regulars http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif what they consider to be the best seat on the 320 in F. I'm stuck on two of them going from LAX-PHX-ATL on my return trip from SYD.
P.S. What's the new First Class snack service like? That's what the computer is listing for the service PHX-ATL.

In my opinion there isn't a "best seat" in F on HP's A320's, it depends on if you like window or aisle, bulkhead or not.
I haven't flown HP since before the event, but "snacks" served in First before then were pretty minimal. Don't expect a lot when flying HP and you won't be disapointed.

I'm partial to the first row, so I don't have someone reclining on me. I think HP's F seats recline too far.
I've never taken HP on a long-haul flight, but as for a snack, I suppose you'll get a small sandwich and a bag of chips or something.

Interesting use of "stuck" in FC, IMHO
I would use the term stuck to describe coach, not FC :-)

I find the 320 seats very comfortable. I'm partial to 2B, for the legroom to the aisle, having some underseat stowage (that 1st row does not) and close to the front.
Now the 319's are not as good for big guys like me, as someone saved money on the seat belt material in F. I've never understood why a fleet of aircraft by Airbus and Boeing would have the same size seat belts EXCEPT for the 319 which is smaller.

If you have an older 320, avoid row 1 as there isn't a whole lot of leg room. Unfortunately, there's no way to tell which type of layout you'll get untill you step on the plane. I actually like the newer interiors better (AKA: The Airbus with the Starhip Enterprise Interior - all of the 319s have this layout) as they have adjustable headrests with wings. The new interiors have much more comfortable coach seats as well, and since I've been spending most of my trips from EWR to PHX in coach lately, I always go for 319's.
As far as food, You'll get snack mix between LAX and PHX - I have no idea what they serve to ATL (I am not even sure if they are doing food service on that route). The meals in F are usually decent - just a bit small.

Flew PHX-ATL last month. Meal service had just restart for F on the route on my return flight. It was less than stellar but alot better than the nuts chips I stock piled from HP club on the way out. It was a regular meal as I recall pasta perhaps.

...Even before the post-9/11 cuts, meal service on those flights was very light. It was usually a small portion of cold chicken breast and pasta salad, or small wrap sandwiches and a side salad, or something similar.
The restored meal service on recent PHX-CMH and PHX-MSP dinner flights was a soggy "hot pocket" served with a small side salad and Lay's potato chips.
All the above experiences are in First Class. I haven't flown America West in coach to the east in a few years.</font>

On CO, "stuck" refers to Y. On HP, you're "stuck", regardless of the class of service. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Or maybe "stuck" also refers to TWA stockholders? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif

Not funny... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif
A CO res. agent got a supervisor to clear LAX-IAH-ATL in F, so I won't have to fly HP at all.
OH HAPPY DAY!!!
