I was using Travelocity to do some pricing into PHX, so naturally a banner ad for America West was featured at the top of the page. It had an HP Airbus and said something about America West. Immediately to the banners right, was a small ad for Western Union that flashed its message. When I glanced up at it, it read, "Needs money now."
You have to be careful about ad placement. Our local paper recently ran a "Happy Birthday" advertisement that had a picture of the Birthday Boy (who was turning 70 or something like that) and the opposite page had obituaries. At first glance, it appeared as though this man had just died. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
