America West paper fee

It will reportedly soon cost extra to buy a paper ticket on America West Airlines. The carrier will introduce new ticketing policies Jan. 16, including a $10 charge for all paper tickets on flights that qualify for electronic ticketing. At the same time, the carrier will also begin accepting several payment options for e-tickets, including cash, check, credit card, America West transportation vouchers and gift certificates, as well as Senior Saver Pack tickets.

i love how the airlines keep evening the floor with my local travel agent. that $10 ticket fee i pay to my travel agent looks more and more worth it.

travelocity and orbitz have service fees, and the airlines want $10 for paper. funny how they never offered $10 off a ticket when they introduced ETKTs....

AMERICA WEST JOINS AMERICAN AND CONTINENTAL WITH $10 FEE ON PAPER TICKETS

America West announced that as of January 16, it will begin charging
a $10 fee to passengers who elect to use paper tickets if their
itinerary qualifies for electronic ticketing. America West is the
third major U.S. airline to charge a fee for paper tickets, after
American and Continental, who announced similar policies last year.
