Thanks Tony MSP2000 Dec 19, 03, 12:19 pm My impression was that all airlines have a contract with the Thai Airport Authority. John Cogley Dec 19, 03, 4:19 pm Thats correct, all airlines other than Thai use the Authority ------------------ JBC In memory of Alex, miss you every day Swiss Tony Dec 23, 03, 9:40 am Thanks, Was just a bit concerned after the experience at KUL - they used the secondary agent, but the only other carriers to do this were aeroflot and another B-list player. The upshot was that making an interline connection was far more complicated than it should have been! Cheers Tony InterflugIL62 Dec 24, 03, 3:47 am What happened at KL? Sounds interesting. I flew them Jakarta to Singapore and loved it. The only negative was the nasty Indonesia departure tax that has to be paid in local currency that surprised us. ------------------ YAS+ SFO_FT Dec 24, 03, 6:01 pm Two ground handling companies operate at BKK: TG and TAGS (Thai Airport Ground Services). TAGS is PARTIALLY owned by Airport of Thailand (operator of Thailand's major airports). TAGS is also owned by LH, KL, and BA. I believe that EK may actually be handled by TG and not TAGS (don't quote on this, though). |
