Under two years old, El Al charges 10% of a full fare in that particular class (no seat).
Anybody know what the fare would be in order to reserve a seat for an under two years old?? I checked Elal's website and I can't seem to find an answer???

LY is assuming that the child under two years is a lap child. If you want it to have its own seat, you need to purchase a 2-11 year-old fare. Depending on the market, such a "youth" fare might exist at 25-50%.

Update: i've found that youth fares are typically 67% of the adult fare paid at time of ticketing.

Infants under 2 ("lap child") typically cost $100 plus taxes on the TLV-NYC-TLV routing.

So what baggage rights does an infant have? Full or partial allowance.

Weight Concept
All passengers, except infants for whom 10% of the applicable adult fare has been paid, are entitled to free baggage allowance as follows:

40Kgs - On all segments for which First Class (F) fare has been paid.
30Kgs - On all segments for which Business Class (C) fare has been paid.
20Kgs - On all segments for which Economy Class (Y) fare has been paid.
50Kgs -All immigrants to Israel on El Al flights regardless of class of travel, except for infants below two years of age.
The above-mentioned figures refer to international flights. Free baggage allowance regulations for Charter/Non IATA members or domestic flights, may differ from the aforsaid.

Infants:
Infants, paying 10% of the applicable fare, are allowed one checked bag (piece), the dimensions of which do not exceed 45 inches (115cm), plus ONE(1) checked fully collapsible child's stroller/push chair.
