Does anyone have any experience with the Holiday inn and Hilton Dubai hotels. Also does anyone have suggestions for websites where I can get good hotel deals.

I have no idea if you can still use the advice but the Hilton Jumeriah beach hotel is quite nice, not located that close to the city but on the water in the touristy area. The Dubai Creek Hilton is downtown and is brand new. It tends to be expensive compared to other area hotels and is small in size but it does have a couple great restaurants. The hotel seems to be following a look that Hilton has done with it's newer Int'l properties like Auckland and Buenos Aires-it's sleek and trendy.

As for the Holiday Inn I have never been there, and I can't say I know where it is in DXB?

Just drove past the Holiday Inn today. Its stuck close to Lamcy Plaza - nowhere near the 'business' district and kind of out in the midddle of nowhere. The Hilton on the Creek is great - a bit desolate but with a fantastic Gordon Ramsey restaurant.

Best bet if you are here on business or pleasure is any hotel on Jumierah Beach - The Royal Mirage and Ritz Carlton are my fave and can also accomodate any business request. They are a bit far out but great atmosphere in both. Try lastminute.com based in the UK for last minute deals - summer season is kind of over so may be difficult to get good deals. Otherwise, try the hotels and hotel sites directly.
