EL AL: A 'Secret' Los Angeles-Toronto Fare
It may surprise you to learn that the United States is incredibly protectionist about its air routes. That's why you rarely find third-country airlines flying between U.S. cities and destinations not in the foreign carrier's homeland. But El Al, the Israeli flag carrier, last month began just such a "secret" service between Los Angeles and Toronto. It currently flies three times weekly between the two cities with a fourth flight scheduled to begin this summer.
