Other Asian, Australian and South Pacific Frequent Flyer Programs - When is JAL going to join OneWorld?

Now that I anticipate a few hops in that direction, it would be nice to integrate JAL options into RWT's.

Final decision could be made by 2004. That's when the new JAL Group finished merging.

NW has mentioned future tie-ins, so I think JL enjoys the flexibility of dealing with multiple alliances.

The word from the OW meeting is that the 8 partners will concentrate on deepending their existing relationships first before expanding. The only "expansion" is to add LANEcuador, LAN Chile's subsidiary. It dealt a blow to LX who is counting on joining OW to surive/succeed.
