Living a short train ride from NY (in PVD) - I am actually interested in getting more Amtrak miles. I have already switched over to the Amtrak card. I actually wish I could transfer in some CO miles, but no such luck yet. Any other ideas besides the CC and actually being on the train?
(Haven't found anything too inspiring yet on the Guest Rewards website).

Best,
Alec

You could convert some Hilton points to Amtrak points. I know the conversion rate isn't that good, but it's something. Another way would be to convert your OnePass miles to Hilton points and then convert this to Amtrak points as mentioned before.

Also, you can convert Starpoints to Amtrak points at a 1:1 ratio.

You can actually convert OnePass miles to AGR POINTS as of May 1. Points convert to Miles and vice versa at a 1:1 convertion rate. The minimum transfer amount is eitehr 5,000 points or 5,000 miles.

Do you have a link? (Of course, I'm thinking. MR --> CO --> AGR --> UA. That would be a biggie.

"Members of both frequent traveler programs will also be able to transfer miles and points between OnePass and Amtrak Guest Rewards."

That's cryptic enough. I guess it will be interesting to see what that really means in practice.
