Once again, of all the airlines, jetBlue was the most accommodating. All the airlines were willing to move someone ONE day, ONCE. Jetblue was willing to move anyone up to 9/30 without any charges/fees. Their hold time was only 6 minutes and the rep fixed up both of my flights. Thanks for a job well done jetBlue!

Not sure that "accomodating" stuff is exactly true, jfk-rok. On their website, America West says you can use your "blackout" ticket without penalty for a full year. Some other airlines have already "hidden" their policies, but I seem to recall hearing similar policies.
JetBlue did do a good job flying their schedule, although I would be curious to know whether it was "worth it" for the pax. A random check on did on Friday seemed to indicate three-hour average delays. Hard to complain about that, given the circumstances but, again, unless you really had to be there, I wonder if it was worth it (of course, if you "missed" your flight, I wonder what JBLU would do for you -- their flights are probably booked near capacity for days).
The best air service into NYC during the blackout was clearly provided by CO, which ran nearly all its flights during the blackout (mostly on time, no less). Of course, CO had an easier time of it, because power was restored to EWR by late Friday night.

They still allowed rebooks no charge... It wasn't a case of "we're flying... show up for your flight, or else"

B6 DIDN'T MAKE YOU FLY during the outages if you didn't want to. Looking at the number of folks who DID choose to fly, I'm sure they were glad to get a flight out that operated, in spite of the delays. AA stopped service entirely.

In the summer season most airlines fly at > 90% load factors. If B6 had cancelled the day most pax would have not have had the chance to fly out for many days to come. I think it was "worth it."
