JetBlue TrueBlue - Transferable Credit on Unused Ticket

Was going to fly JetBlue but had to cancel the trip.

CSR said that the value of the credit is the ticket price minus $25.

CSR futher said that the credit is transferable -- someone else can just give the confirmation number when booking a future flight and apply the credit to their ticket.

Is this right? Any more details on how this works? Does the credit need to be signed over somehow by the original purchaser?

Thanks!

So I answered my first question
http://www.jetblue.com/travelinfo/howToDetail.asp?topicId='3'
change and cancellation fees are only $25
all credits on cancelled bookings are fully transferable But does anyone know how the transferability works? Is there any process of signing over the credit, or does a new traveler just need to call with the confirmation #?

Thanks!

I had an $80 credit due to a drop in price a couple of years ago. It was about to expire when my son's friend said he had booked a flight on Jetblue. I called and said he was my son and could they give him the credit and they credited his credit card and let him use my credit toward his ticket. They are exceedingly accommodating.

I understand that if you change an itin with Jet Blue they deduct $30 and give you a credit. Do they cancel a ticket and give a full refund if done within 24 hours like Delta does?
