America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - HP DBC's...No Miles, No Segments!

..What's the deal with using HP DBC's...I booked an ATL-PHX-SLC trip using 2 $200 certs my wife and I got for being bumped PHX-LAX...When I booked on the fone, Res after taking our CO FF numbers...."Oops...it just came up, you can't get mileage credit or segment credit!" Are we totally out of luck or what!? I guess the next low blow will be when they tell us we can upgrade with our CO Gold Elite Cards! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Technically you aren't supposed to receive any segemnt or miles credit. Also, you can't upgrade. That being said, all I do is go to the gate and hand the agent my Silver card and ask if my FF number is in my record. They reply no then add my number to my record and give me an upgrade if there is still an open seat. So far that method has worked 100% of the time for me.

I have enough trouble getting mileage credit for HP flights with paid tickets on published fares as a OnePass Platinum. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif
