America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA - news) and the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets are teaming up to create a power play for customers who purchase tickets at www.americawest.com (http://www.americawest.com) during a special promotion in February. When the Blue Jackets score goals during home games in February, customers earn discounts on tickets purchased through the airline's Web site.
Every time the Blue Jackets play at home, customers receive a minimum 5 percent discount; if they score two to three goals, the discount is 10 percent; and if the team scores four or more goals the discount is 15 percent. Customers must purchase the discounted tickets at www.americawest.com (http://www.americawest.com) during a 24-hour period beginning at 10 a.m. EST the day after each home game during the month. This offer is good for the following Blue Jackets games: Feb. 6 vs. St. Louis Blues, Feb. 10 vs. Nashville Predators, Feb. 12 vs. New York Rangers, Feb. 17 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins and Feb. 28 vs. Phoenix Coyotes.
