America West FlightFund (Discontinued Program) - 2 Changes for 2001

The 20,000 mile award has all ready been mentioned but how about the 2nd new benefit?

Dear America West FlightFund Member:

FlightFund is pleased to announce two significant program changes for 2001. First, in response to member recommendations, we are rolling back Value Award levels for domestic travel on America West to 20,000 miles year-round. First Class and Top Value Coach mileage awards have also been reduced to 40,000 miles for year-round travel.

Secondly, a new benefit has been added to the Platinum Elite program. Members achieving Platinum Elite status at any time during the 2001 program year will now be given the opportunity to nominate another member of their choice to Silver Elite status. Plus, for every additional 25,000 qualifying flight miles or 30 qualifying segments, each Platinum Elite member will receive one additional upgrade nomination.

now if they would only fly to ANC year round instead of seasonally . . . . i'd really be excited!
