America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA - news) announced today the appointment of Captain Joseph Chronic as vice president, flight operations. Captain Chronic will be responsible for managing the airline's flight operations organization, including its pilots, flight standards and flight safety programs, flight crew scheduling and flight crew training.
