Implication being that other silver/gold/platinum HP flyers will receive them too-de-doo.
Maybe I should have been more specific on the original. I have noted a number of marketing attempts by HP to increase their club membership. This must be their latest and greatest attempt at this.
Have other elite levels of flyers received these, or is this a bennie of hitting platinum or ?

I never received any when I reached Platinum. It may be a matter of timing? They may just be sending them out to new Platinums.

I called the Elite Desk and was told it was a random mailing to all level of Elites.You can't request them. You have to be "randomly selected."

I have not received any passes in the mail. I am just satisfied these days if FlightFund credits my miles in a timely fashion http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif.
FWIW, this year I did not renew my HP Club membership; they do not appear to be courting me back. Oh well, my P-Club privileges will grant me access (for now anyway).
