This place sez they got it. Has anyone stayed there and liked the place (and the high speed internet)? MisterNice apirchik Aug 26, 03, 7:43 am I love this hotel. It is within 3 minutes walking from the terminal, nice rooms and very typical to Wyndham. High speed internet works and is free if you are a ByRequest member as well as local and long distance calls (benefits apply only from your 2nd stay as a BR member at any Wyndham property). The hotel also has a nice excersize room, pool, restaurant and bar. I stayed there about 5 times this year and after 2 stays they started upgrading me to the executive level (7th floor). [This message has been edited by apirchik (edited 08-26-2003).] MisterNice Aug 27, 03, 5:57 pm Thanks. What goodies are available on the executive floor? I also received 2 positive emails on this hotel so I booked the night at very nice $80 non-refundable rate. MisterNice MisterNice Sep 11, 03, 12:31 pm I stayed there last week, asked for a room on the 7th floor and got it. My 2 extra feather pillows arrived later and the wine and cheese got there at 500PM. The free high speed internet worked flawlessly and the free local and a few free 48 state long distance calls were made as nice touch. The 7th floor rooms come weth a refrigerator, a thick robe, a scale etc. This is the nicest hotel near SeaTac (bye bye Hilton Honors SeaTac stuff) I have ener been in. At a prepaid $80 itsa steal, and it goes for $50 during the 72 hour sale bookings. Thanks for the nice advice via posts and email. I owe you guys a drink. MisterNice yevlesh2 Sep 17, 03, 3:07 pm Are you elite with WBR or have you been able to get the 7th floor without status? apirchik Sep 17, 03, 6:01 pm There is no official Elite status with WBR. I signed up early for WBR which theroretically allowed me to receive WBR benefitswith my first and all succedding stays. I believe it ordinarily starts with the second stay. MisterNice yevlesh2 Sep 18, 03, 10:52 am That's weird, I guess it depends on individual hotel. I stayed at Wyndham Montreal twice and while Sprite, cheese, and free phone calls were nice, they wouldn't give me the exec floor rooms. fredmartens Sep 18, 03, 11:13 pm Have been WBR member for about 2 years with mixed results at various properties. Regarding SEA, I usually get a nice room on the 6th or 7th floor, but I always have to call down for the "welcome amenity" that I have in my profile; also, the last few times, the paper was down in the lobby in the A.M. They used to put it at the door. The parking is free, which I like, and if I stay before an early A.M trip outbound, the parking is only $8 a day after I checkout. Hi Spd Int works great & is free for BR members, room service is so-so food. Great location to the airport, less than a 5 minute walk, just across the street from the airport entry/exit drive. Not worth over $80 a night IMHO. I like the chain in general (stay out of the Wyndham in Lisle, IL on the weekends... constant weddings and drunken parties...), especially when the 72 hour sale is going on, like right now thru 10AM CDT 9/20. frankc98376 May 17, 04, 11:51 pm Stayed at Seatac 5/17/04. No WBR in room. Went downstairs for a drink and a bite to eat. Was told "kitchen closes at 10:00- no food available. Interesting, as Washington State law reqiuires food be available when alcohol is sertved.... pinkies May 20, 04, 9:05 am I was looking for rates at Wyndom Seatac today and there is a message stating that the hotel will be leaving the Wyndom group in June. Does anyone know about this? If so will the hotel be better or worse? We are thinking of booking for Sept. - but maybe we should look at other brands. :( MisterNice May 20, 04, 3:29 pm I was looking for rates at Wyndom Seatac today and there is a message stating that the hotel will be leaving the Wyndom group in June. I learned to like Wyndhams after staying at at this nice hotel. When rebranding, the new owner will honor the rate but probably not the nice WBR goodies.
