RTWSTARALLIANCE Dec 1, 03, 9:42 am Are these eligible for UA miles? I noted when attempting to book they asked for number. Did not seeing anything under T&Cs saying no miles. Can they be upgraded? Thanks ec336 Dec 1, 03, 11:34 am Originally posted by RTWSTARALLIANCE: Are these eligible for UA miles? Thanks I flew on one of these last year, and got full MP mileage credit. I presume it will be the same this year, but double-check. I don't know about upgrades, though. ohcanada Dec 1, 03, 12:12 pm The pop-up box for Day 1 says that it is open until 3 pm on Dec 2; I assume this is a typo. The booking page says 2:59 am. On a cost per mile basis these don't seem to be that good for a MR, although the SEA departures are much better than the eastern gateways despite the extra $20. SIN and BKK runs appear to have a much better cost per mile. Of course, if you are just dying to get to Copenhagen for the weekend.... ------------------ Oh Canada! Standing on guard for thee... IfItAintBoeing Dec 1, 03, 12:54 pm I'm having trouble getting anything to price less than $700 RT SEA - CPH. How are you getting it to price lower? It looks like Stockholm today (Dec 2). RTWSTARALLIANCE Dec 2, 03, 7:38 am I called SAS regarding ability to upgrade. Can not be done on these fares. The fare which will allow a upgrade from SEA to CPH is around $300 more net. As for points? They did not know. kempis Dec 2, 03, 9:17 am You CAN upgrade all fares on SAS(excluding booking class N and X). This ticket is not booked in one of those two which means you can upgrade it. It will cost you 30.000 EuroBonus points one way. You cant upgrade using another * FF program however. BRU-CPH-BJS is the offer from BRU today and its only 435€ which is a great great fare to China. G2 Dec 2, 03, 9:20 am I did one of these last year - a one day shopping special from EWR to CPH - for the sole purpose of maintaining my status on UA. I got full MP credit on UA. At least for the past two years, they allow you to book any of the city offers that they presented throughout December on December 24th. That is, on 12/24, you get a full month's worth of cities to choose from. You never know if they will do it like this this year, but in case you miss a favorite city, there is still hope. And last year, I believe the fares were $249 from EWR/ORD/IAD. PaulMSN Dec 3, 03, 4:05 pm I'm doing a long weekend (14-19/JA) to Oslo, but it's not a MR. Although if I do one additional trip before September, I'll have the lowest-tier status on SAS, I believe. I don't know if that's worth much. seanthepilot Dec 3, 03, 9:35 pm I know its a long shot, but anyway to book these without a credit card???? missydarlin Dec 4, 03, 10:04 am Helsinki carlhaynes Dec 4, 03, 11:36 am Originally posted by missydarlin: Helsinki Helsinki for $400 is sure tempting! Seattle to Helsinki or Riga for $400 after taxes is still a better deal then even the cheapest winter tickets I've seen. IfItAintBoeing Dec 20, 03, 2:54 pm It looks like Bruxelles today. Seat 2A Dec 20, 03, 5:50 pm Last year, I recall SAS offered a day of shopping in Copenhagen for very cheap, like less than $200.00 taxes included. Granted, it was only a day but hey - think of the miles, along with a nice day in Copenhagen. Alas, I was hoping to see something similar this year... Point_Chaser Dec 21, 03, 4:06 am It's not only from the US the offers aren't all that exciting. I was about to book a trip from Copenhagen to Barcelona on the offers only to find out that the regular campaign price that has been on pretty much the whole year for the trip was much cheaper than the X-mas offer. There are still some nice offers out there though, and I guess that the 24th will offer them all as usual.
