Hi everyone -- I'm desperate for suggestions. I have an $800 DBC voucher expiring in July. Was all set to do HKG and SIN (20,000 miles for $850) before SARS, and my family now won't let me do Asia...
Where can I go? I'm trying to maximize distance and hopefully do something interesting too. Can't find anything that prices even half-decently. Has to be UA metal.
Any suggestions?

Is this one piece $800, or a book of 4 x $200?
4 x $200 is a lot more flexible, and you can do like 1 Europe + 2 x West Coast trips.

Yes. Go to Travelocity and use their "Dream Maps" feature:
http://dps1.travelocity.com/dreamMap.ctl
Enter IAD (a United hub) as your "Departure City" and a "Maximum fare per traveler up to" $800 and explore your options. You can look for trips to destinations all over the globe. If you need more help, you're gonna have to tell us exactly where you want to go and when you are free.

It's 4x200 (I insisted on that).
Basically, I'd like to do a weekend in June or July -- no more than three days. Just want to go far, and couldn't see anything tempting on Dream Maps...

It would seem to me that as we get closer to mid-Winter for the Australians, you might find a WAS-SYD fare for close to $800.
if you are allowed to use the vouchers on the e-fares, watch the weekend savers to either mexico city or to south america
