MCI-STL-SFO-DFW-MCI. Lots of dates/times available, no Saturday stay needed. Got a redeye coming back - an extra "free" day in Northern CA. Use a 10% base-fare-discount code to get the $192.
Other airlines have comparable fares (except the 10% code) and other cities in CA are only a few bucks more. This is the best fare I've ever seen for MCI-California for a Wed-Fri (no Sat stay) itinerary.
Could've used ORD to eke out a few more miles, but the DFW/STL routes had the best coach seats available in all segments, and the times were right.
4199 status miles, 9590 total. Right at 2 cents/mile. Also importantly: the flights earn me another set of e-upgrades on AA. I'm dropping to GLD on March 1, so this is my PLT going-away party.
