I'm thinking about a Mileage run on 9/11..
I have read posts about good deals, but when I try to find the same deal at a website, I dont get it. For example, someone mentioned a CLE-BNA-CLE run with a number of cities enroute.. I went online and tried to price this but couldnt!
Could someone PLEASE tell me how its done?
Or do I have to call the CSR at the airline and get the reservation through her (ie. cant be done online??)
Thanks, I appreciate your help http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Welcome to FT!
Your question comes up here repeatedly and has been answered countless number of times.
The most probable reason that you are not getting the fare that you want is is that the class of service (COS) that is needed for the fare that you want is not available on at least one of the segments that you are attempting to book. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
This is probably the single biggest reason why an itinerary wont price!
So go to one of the booking sites that allows you to see actual inventory to make sure that the COS that is needed is available on each and every segment (itn.com, for example).
The second most common reason that you will not get the fare that you want, is that you may be attempting to book a fare on dates that are not valid for that fare. Check the rules and make sure that you have those correct.
Finally, every FTer need a travel agent MR buddy. S/he will make your life a whole lot easier... and is well worth the few pennies that they may cost you.
A Travel Agent can do things, and see things, and create things that you cannot... no matter how good you may think that you are!
Food for thought, anyway. Good luck and Happy Travels to ya! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Andy100:
I found FT in May and did my first mileage/segment run Friday 7/26. If I can figure it out in a couple of weeks, anyone can.
Here's the thread that I used to figure out how to find/price a run: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum124/HTML/000027.html
I also used expedia's fare list: www.expedia.com (http://www.expedia.com)
Click to FLIGHTS (on the top bar), then AIRLINE FARE LIST on the next screen.
Once the ailine/fare comes up, click on the fare rules. At the bottom it will show the cities/routings available. I would then start looking at dates and availability of the low class fares to/from the cities indicated in the fare rules.
Good Luck
