All right, after reading the previous post and BEAUTIFULL JOB done by tvl4free I just want to do it too http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
1. My dates flexible except May 1-7 (going my last trip on NW for 10'000 promo)
2. Anywhere within US
3. Under $300
4. Enough miles to qualify for Gold on a Gold challange.
5. I know $300 is a joke but ... maybe at least I can get close to 5000 Q-points
If anyone would want to help me that would be great http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
I'm new to ORD, new to AA so any help would be appreciated.

This is what I'll probably end up doing for my gold/platinum challenge this summer (using sample dates)...
May7 AA 1097 BUF-ORD (528) Dep 626 Arr 709
May7 AA 2689 ORD-STL (258) Dep 803 Arr 918
May7 AA 2802 STL-EWR (872) Dep 1007 Arr 1335
May7 AA 1999 EWR-MIA (1086) Dep 1720 Arr 2028
May7 AA 5097 MIA-TPA (204) Dep 2231 Arr 2342
$89.50 including taxes (one way, on AA.com & others)
May8 AA 5098 TPA-MIA (204) Dep 625 Arr 740
May8 AA 583 MIA-LGA (1097) Dep 830 Arr 1131
May8 AA 2863 LGA-STL (888) Dep 1427 Arr 1615
May8 AA 1314 STL-ORD (258) Dep 1701 Arr 1818
May8 AA 1982 ORD-BUF (528) Dep 2132 Arr 2359
$94.50 including taxes (one way, on AA.com & others)
That's 10 segments, with minimum 500 q-points each segment, equalling 5000 q-points.
That leaves $116 to go from ORD-BUF... you can do ORD-BUF-ORD on AA for $138 + taxes with a Saturday stay...
Hope that helps.

be carefull asuming you get 500 q miles as I just flew mke to ord and only got like 89 q miles and the rest fell into bonus. I dont know if they made a mistake but for sure I did not get 500 q miles. Lorri

Qmile is a Qmile. You are correct in seeing only 89miles to MKE from ORD, the rest IS bonus.
So do be careful.
Every AA segment earns a minimum of 500 Q-miles and 500 Q-points. Your statement may contain the actual mileage, but it counts as 500 in any event.

Thanks keithguy,
I'll try to work BUF around but If not I'll probably take it as it is. At least somebody will come up with a different idea for more miles http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

All AA segments have a minimum of 500 q-points.
I'll probably end up heading to Florida sometime this summer and end up doing something like this ex-TPA.

I too am looking for a mileage run out of ORD. However I need to start in ORD, not in BUF. Any way to get 5 segments out of ORD and 5 segments back similar to the above run's cost without having to start in BUF? I will not have the extra time to get to and from BUF, that would add an extra two days to this run.
keithguy, Where did you price these out? when I look at aa.com I get over $700 for oneway, not the less than $100 you are getting?

Personally, I would rather fly out of ORD then BUF too. I checked some fares on ORD-BUF and the best I got is $166 on NW via DTW. Not a bad option but I would rather spent that $166 on a weekend trip on AA to DCA area next weekend (there is a special) then fly to BUF http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif on NW.
I'm looking but not finding http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
