Mileage Run Deals - US Airways Same Day Travel??

Hi everyone: I'm looking for a same-day travel cheap fare for a segment or mileage run. Below $150. I can find great fares, but all for overnight stays. Anyone have any luck with same day fares?

Are you looking for something out of BWI? DCA? IAD?

I was able to pull a ATL-CLT-SAV-CLT-ATL 1-day mileage run on a holiday weekend to get Gold last winter.

RDU-CLT-BWI-CLT-RDU 21day AP $114.00 in and out same day, book on USAirways.com website, for example for booking today for travel

RDU-CLT US1948 6:15 am - 7:03 am
CLT-BWI US516 8 am - 9:21 am
BWI-CLT US379 6:45 pm - 8:05 pm
CLT-RDU US267 8:55 pm - 9:47 pm

I have taken this or similar itineraries on business trip to Washington, picked up AMTRAK from BWI Airport to Union Station. It would be great as a mileage run!

also, it is possibe to book same day travel 21 day AP on US:

RDU-CLT-ORF-BWI-CLT-RDU (5 legs) for $119.50 on a valid routing, may also be possible to book RDU-CLT-ORF-BWI-ORF-CLT-RDU for about $125.00

Need to leave RDU at 6 am or so.

Oops....forgot to put my starting point...which is BWI, DCA, or IAD. Any suggestions out of these airports?

RDU is the key here, I think. Try routing to and thru RDU and you should find something. I know when I wanted a same day biz trip to RDU, if I went through LGA it cost right around $200 vs $800 regularly.

(So LGA might help too, but I wouldn't risk anything under a 3 hour connection there!)

The deal is the start and end points being BWI-RDU or RDU-BWI as US is competing with Southwest's $49 unrestricted OW between those city pairs. Any US valid routing BWI-RDU seems to price at the low fare between $114 and $130 21 day AP RT

Did you try the BWI-RDU thru ORF or GSO? I'm thinking of doing it but starting in ALB then doing the 6 segment BWI-RDU thru GSO. Can get 8 segsments in one day for $220. A long day but it would be worth it I think. I'm waiting for the 4th of July specials and looking for other options. Aug 13th is my target date. My even do the BWI-RDU back to back on 8/12 and 8/13. I will then seek professional help for this addiction.

If anybody has a day to spare while in cleveland....

CLE-PIT-GSO-CLT-BNA-CLT-RDU-PIT-CLE (8 segments) can be had for $149 with tax. It's a very boring itinerary I assure you - lots of Fokkers and the Saab (a sob story) between CLE and PIT.

Forgot to mention - unless the loads are light, the above will price out very expensive if you pick busy travel days. Before you try anything, check the load on the last flight - PIT-CLE that leaves at 11 pm. That flight is often soldout and even occasionally oversold.

If you can stay over a Saturday night the base fare for DCA-MHT is $88 on US right now. You can probably do DCA-PIT-somewhere-PHL-MHT each way for eight segs and less than $150. Some weekends aren't available, but 7/28-29 is.
