I've created a monster: Has anyone got any bright ideas for a 5655 mile run that will get my wife to PE on UA? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
I'm worn out looking at the Dream Map and finding "no longer available". http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif
Thanks in advance

Look at the Southwest routes to the east coast that UA may match.. Orlando (MCO), Baltimore (BWI) come to mind. If you take United Express to SFO, and then any routing to the east coast, you should come pretty close. Fares seem to be running upwards of $400 though, if you go last week of Dec and get a Sat night stay in there.
How about London from SFO? I used Dec 28 and 31 as travel dates and get $422RT including all taxes. That would be almost 5,400 base miles each way.

CMH (Columbus) keeps being really cheap. I am doing SFO/CMH and CMH/LAX to get my needed 7500 miles. I'm paying a total of $257. Since I bought people have pointed out SMF/CMH for $68 but they never last very long at all.

You can fly r/t to Milan (MXP) via DC (IAD) for about $300 = 12K Miles or fly to FRA, CDG or MUC via SFO. Domestically I can only think of BOS via SFO for +/-$325.
You now PE is only 42K miles this year, right?

Thanks everyone.
Mrs Lurker will now go to NY for the weekend with her sister and (Mileage Gods willing) return as a "SFH" Premex. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
This means we will have the perfect in-house experiment. The real "leaded" 50+K PE and the Wimpy "unleaded" 42K PE. We will report back on any differences in treatment, but are not holding our breath.
Thanks again for everyone's help.
