I tried the new CR in June 2002 with a B&N purchase, to get the 250 mile bonus.
No miles posted, so I wrote them. No answer, so I wrote again, months later, in December.
Today, I got an answer -- their "Merchant Transaction reports" do not show my purchase, therefore, no miles. They then instructed me on how to use CR, start with their link, etc. I found this condescending.
I tried answering the email, explaining that of course I started at CR, I know how to use links and follow instructions, but the message bounced -- no such user.
I tried forwarding the message to the email address given on their website, but it, too, bounced, no such user.
I finally sent the message to <postmaster@clickrewards.com> but I don't expect an answer.
I have given up on ClickRewards. I don't know whether they are incompetent or fraudulent, but either way it's pretty bad. I am posting here to warn folks -- don't bother with this company.

They are terrible.
I have been trying to get the rest of my points posted for a 2 for 1 promotion for weeks.
Does anyone have a phone number?
E-Mail does not seem to generate prompt replies.

I've used them before.
They take months e-mail you back. There is no phone number.
Many times I've used sites via their site and haven't gotten mileage.
I have actually earned two 500 AA Mileage certificates from them, but believe that I could be earning more mileage from them..if their site worked correctly.
Since this website was closed down last year and re-opened, it's not been the same.

I used them back in Nov for purchase at Avon.com. Didn't get any poins. E-mail 7-8 times - no answer. Finally called them - they promised to find and post points the same day. Yes, right. After a while got an e-mail that they don't have my transaction listed. Thanks after 3 month waiting and e-mailing. Tried to e-mail back couple of days ago stating that I post my experience here on flyertalk and the other forums - e-mails are bounced back - server not available.
Anyway here is the e-mail and phone numbers to their parent company CRC:
Peter.Atkinson@crc.net
James.Goudreau@crc.net
Phone 888 339 0000 and ask for Peter Atkinson
May be if we will flood them with e-mails and phone calls they will start doing something

Please do a search (both FT Miles and FT Archives).
You'll find other complaints about the new Clickrewards, including mine.

Is the New CR under the same Management as their predecessor?
I got 5050 pts in the original CR but am now not able to log in at the New CR. My various emails to them have not been fruitful. They said they cannot locate my username.
Any else have the same problem, i.e not able to log in?

The old CR and the new CR are not the same management. If you had an account under the old CR, the points were lost in their liquidation process, and you need to create a new account.

I suspect the answer is "fraud".
The original email I got from the new folks said 250 bonus for re-submitting my details. The screen that the link took me to said the same thing. I filled out my details and then after they had all my details, they displayed a page that said that I'd have to buy something to get the bonus.
Promising something and then adding restrictions to it after the other party has fulfilled their part is fraud, so I've not dealt with them since.

I agree Kremmen. However, right after I did my first shopping all bonus points were there in my account.

I'm so happy that I refused to waste my time with the New CR from the get-go!
BTW, I lost only 300 points in the bankruptcy: 3 surveys @100.
Oh so thank U for all the warnings back then http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif!

I have been wary of the new CR ever since I got the post-bankruptcy e-mail announcing the new and improved version with the URL that did not work. I have not heard or read anything good about the revamped CR and therefore have not been motivated to give them my business.

I am interested in any new feedback about CR. I did a couple of purchases in early January and got prompt postings and email receipts. I was impressed.
Then I made another Walmart purchase later in Jan. I have been going round and round with CR CS since. They delay answering my emails for weeks. They finally came up with the line that "you didn't click thru CR". I told them that I am an astute enough internet shopper to know to go from the CR page. No response to that. And they owe me for $700 in purchases.
I tried the phone # in the middle of this thread. No answer, no opportunity to select an extension, no way to leave a message. I did send a message to Mr. Atkinson. We'll see.
Just wondering what others have experienced.

I am staying away from the "NEW CLICKREWARDS" as I am not sure if it is really NEW? I had over 37K miles that were to be transfer into two AA accounts and never did. I did this transfer months before the old one went bust and never heard from anyone. I have tried several times to reach the NEW CR and have yet to get any responses from them.
Simple bit of advice to all STAY AWAY!

That's because the new Clickrewards is not affiliated with the old CR in any way, except the name.
When the old CR liquidated, you lost your miles. The new CR has no obligation to honor it - sorry.

Duh! I know that the New CR has no obligation to honor anything from the old CR but as you can read Mike, the New CR is also not cooperating. Are you sorry about that?

Yeah, I suppose I am. Next time, though, I'd advise not to imply that the new CR should be obligated to do anything about the old CR's problems.

I respectfully disagree. I agree that they are under no legal obligation. However, they presumbably got the clickrewards name (along with their mailing list of both businesses and customers, and probably some software) to build on the "good-will" that was there. They also inherited whatever ill-will came along with the default. They then have a business decision to make about lessening the ill-will with some gesture, versus the cost of doing so. They made that decision. They did nothing. For me, that strengthens the ill-will that I feel. The same can apparently be said by "milesforyourmoma"

Well, lo and behold: Someone actually answered the phone number above. She transferred me to a "Laurie's" voice mail. My emails to CS and Mr. Atkinson have been ignored.
I'll let you guys know what (if anything) happens.

Well I got some action: today the 308 points for my valuemags purchace (done in January) was substracted out of my account. No explanation.
No returned phone call, no further returned emails, and NO satisfaction.
I am so disappointed with CR!

I hate to keep beating a dead horse but I vote for both fraud and incompetence.
I just called the number above about 10 times before the receptionist answered. I asked to speak with a person rather than a voice mail. She said that Laurie has gone home for the day. I asked during what hours could I speak with her. She said 9-5 EST. I then asked if Laurie left early. The receptionist said "No it's 5:30 PM here right now". She insisted that was the correct time.
This was at 3:00PM CST which would have been 4:00PM EST. Maybe in the click rewards office they don't observe day light savings time? Idiotic!

Beat the heck out of the horse. I know how frustrating this must be for you. I once had the same problem with Milesource. I finally got ahold of someone who was able to correct THEIR mistake but it took about a month to do so. What is the deal with CR?

No.
I'm also quick to point out that I haven't even bothered with the second incarnation of CR, due to the issues related to the first one. I didn't lose anything out of them (I kept my balance low, and always redeemed as soon as I could), but based on the horror stories I've been hearing about the new incarnation over the past several months, I'll go elsewhere.
As for assuming the debts of the old CR as a "goodwill gesture," I think it's crap that people expect the new CR should do it. These are a lot of the debts that put the old CR out of business. Why anyone should expect its successor to dig into that hole before they even get off the ground, is beyond me.
I'm not a CR apologist, by any stretch of the imagination. I just think it's stupid to expect a solvent business to assume the liabilities of an insolvent one - especially one that has liquidated because of these liabilities.
Yeah, it sucks that people lost their ClickRewards points. A lot of people lost a heck of a lot more - jobs, investments, money loaned - and because of that, I think it's pretty **** petty of people to sit and complain about their points.
